What every Hindu seeks is the Realization of the Supreme Nirguna Brahman. Everyone gets this desire of the Dharshan of the Supreme. Each individual Athma has to pass through some effects of its own past Karma and also fulfill the karmas for which it has been created. This passage is determined by the level of elevation of the soul in its own evolution. This is how each individual gets the desire, or the lack of it, to perform the proper Karma and following the Dharma.

Even to pray to God or to perform a ritual or a prayer, one needs the proper blessing from the Supreme. To get an understanding of this Reality, one needs a Spiritual Discipline, with proper actions of Karma, real devotion with total surrender, concentration with a calm mind through meditation along with full knowledge and wisdom. Here, the performance of Karma Rituals and singing Bhajans of Bhakthi will provide that state like Meditation and Jñãna.

These rituals are just like the Soldier saluting in a parade gets the strength of mind and unquestionable discipline that is needed to fight in a war. Walking in a parade and saluting does not really teach them to use the weapons or to fight in a war but gives them the needed mental strength and a sense of discipline required for the path they have chosen. The military salute started with the ancient Viking warriors wearing a face mask who opened the covering over the face is still continued now without questioning the reason or purpose. Similarly, the rituals and prayer routines are to be performed as prescribed without confusing our thoughts about the need for the same.

Karma rituals and devotional prayers need to be done without expecting or demanding any benefit but just as part of our Dharma. Expecting benefits will make the action as a business or trade with the effects of profit and loss. Here, performing the Dharma will offer the protection and the benefits, not on its own will but at the pleasure of the Supreme God as His blessings. In this, the unseen force of the rules of Dharma, which serves at the will of the Supreme God, is behind every action and every prayer that we perform as our Dharma.

Bhagavan Sri Krishna again says in Gita [ChXVIII - 66] - "Abandoning dependence on all dharmas surrender to Me, and Me only, for spiritual elevation, come to Me as the only refuge, I shall deliver you of all Sins". So, total surrender to the Supreme Divine in all our prayers and worship rituals is the only path to get this realization to reach the True Divine abode. When we perform any part of the rituals or prayers, if we question the need for the same it will defeat the very purpose of the service. The desire for the realization must be there. In our search for the Truth, we need to realize the presence of the Supreme Divine Powers in our Rituals and Prayers God is all pervading, and exists in all forms everywhere. This is True Realization.

Wherever there is the Lord of Yoga, Sri Krishna, wherever there is Partha wielding his bow; there, good fortune, Victory, Prosperity and eternal policy will reign. Such is my conviction.
