It is the great desire of Paramãthma [that is also Sri Parames'wara, Sri
Narãyana, or Ãdi Parãsakthi] that similar thoughts come as
dreams to many of us when the time is right for any great change in the society.
Many of us desired some new activity to preserve, practice and propagate our great
Hindu Dharma and get the writings of our Vedas and Agamas and introduce the message
of our great Rishis to our future generation. Our community members are being
challenged by the alternate teachings, pressured into our minds by the shrinking
universe and globalization with the modern digital age. About 2,500 years back,
when this society was challenged by a situation of similar nature, our great Sri
Sankara Bhadavatpãda manifested in our punyabhoomi to cause a great renaissance
of our Dharma through his message of explanation of the Vedantha and the Shanmatha
forms of devotional worship. Several other Ãcharyãs have also given
us similar messages of our great faith and its philosophy and prayer methods.
Now, it is time we take these messages unadulterated to all the members of our
society and facilitate the study and research. We also need to help the community
with the maintenance of the temple and school facilities for the proper propagation
of our faith. We also have to organize facilities for the much needed community
services which are being used by others to hijack the innocent masses trekking
without a view. Several members of our community have been working in small paces
without any focus in several areas of interest to achieve this goal. In the past
few years, we met several members in our community around the world sharing their
time and efforts to build new Temples, renovate old ones, conduct educational
programs as also organize social activities, healthcare facilities and help the
poor and needy in several other ways.
|
We recognize the needs of our community are multiple, both for the social needs
of happiness as also for the maintenance and upkeep of our ancient faith and traditional
practice. We noted that several activities are being performed by many members
of our community but in small and piecemeal manner. Then, there is also the problem
of interference of officials of a secular government, where the hard earned resources
are being diverted for other causes. We have the desire to combine all our efforts
and join all the forces to work together to usher in a reform, a revolution and
a renaissance for our Hindu Dharma and its various facets of traditions and practice,
its beliefs and faiths, all in a cooperative way to all hindus, from the spiritually
unevolved to the learned ones to practice this glorious faith together. We need
to rebuild the Temples, renovate the Dharma schools and protect our teachers and
priests and poojaris and educate all our ordinary devotees. We need to join our
forces together as unity is strength and knowledge of wisdom leads us to true
liberation. We need to avoid and remove the in-group fightings among several segments
of the Hindu Society, among followers of various Acharyas and several varying
philosophy. This can be achieved by creating a sense of equality and inclusiveness.
We need to understand and teach the unity and similarities among various paths
of Hindu Dharma. We need to organize schools for teaching the public a little
bit of all the Hindu texts and philosophy and let each one to follow whichever
path each individual accepts.
