An
ayurvedic camp was held on
Sunday,
16th
April , 2006 at Venkadu, in
association with Lion's Club, T. Nagar, Chennai and Pujya
Shri. Jayendra Saraswati Ayurvedic College, Nazarethpet Ayurvedic
doctors headed by Dr. Ramadoss. About
210 patients were examined and given free medicines. |

Review
visit and cleaning the area in Venkaadu - 16th April 2006: |
In
addition, land cleaning and renovation work also was continued at the Siva Temple
area. We
have also arranged for special pooja services in Venkadu on important days. We
will also conduct classes in Tamil on Slokas and Pooja methods along with lessons
on Basics
of Hindu Dharma for Women and children on Sudays at 10 AM in Mangadu Temple. Sri
Ravi Sivacharya of Mangadu Temple will guide us for these classes and also in
Temple Planning. |

Current
events:
Sri K. Ramabevan, LDSF Vice-President visited Venkadu Siva Temple with his family
on 13th May. The Chief Kurukkal of Mangadu Temple Sri Ravi Sivachariyar, his elder
brother and three more Kurukkal came to Venkadu and peformed one hour Pooja on
Saturday, 13 May 2006. It was a grand function before digging and cleaning the
Santum area of Siva Lingam Several members of MTS and their family and several
local members attended this grand function

A
meeting was held with the members of Lions Club T'. Nagar on Saturday, 13 May
2006 in the evening, where the projects and plans of LDSF at Venkadu was explained
to the members by Sri R. Subramanian. Everyone appreciated all our programs and
plans.

LDSF Volunteers have been working
for the renovation of
this Ancient Siva Temple and several other Temples in
our area and for teaching Hindu Dharma
among the villagers on a regular basis. They
again visited Venkadu site on 16th April, 2006. | | We
