organized an anmiga sutrula trip to Orikkai Manimandapam and Kanchipuram on Sunday
12 June, 2011. A
total number of 42 people including 21 ladies participated. On way, we went to
Vengadu, where
LDSFT is renovating an old Siva temple, [Kamakshi Amman Udanurai Ekambambara Nateswarar
temple] and
did an archanai. Dr. R. Subramanian explained about history of the temple. Devotees
donated Rs. 1306/ on the spot for renovation. We
reached Orikkai, witnessed a Rudra Homam performed by a team from Tiruvanmiyur
on Maha Periava jayanthi day. All
devotees spent time in front of Maha Periava sannadhi and attended Homam. We
then proceeded to Kanchi mutt and had Darshan of both Periavas individually. We
all joined Annadhanam at mutt for Lunch. After
a rest of one hour at mutt, we all had special darisanam at Kamakshi Amman temple.
On
return we were at Kanchi Mutt Mueseum, Vedal, Enathur. Shri.
Muthuswamy, Manager [Tel: 2729 4337 / 93 8108 3735] explained the exhibits. Our
members appreciated well the photos and Dolls in the museum. We reached Chennai
at 8.30 PM. It
is planned our next trip to same places on Sunday 17 July, 2011, where
LDSFT plan to inaugurate Spiritual Satsangh in the presence of Periava at Orikkai
Manimandapam at 10 AM. -------------
