Loka Dharma Seva Foundation Trust, Kilpakkam, Chennai-6000010 Uzhavaar Pani - Temple Cleaning project - 11 July 2010 LDSFT organised the monthly Uzhavara Pani event, (Their 56th Temple Cleaning Project), at Arulmigu Nagathamman Temple P.T.Rajan Salai / Kamaraj Salai, K.K. Nagar, Chennai.

Report on Arulmigu Nagathamman Temple Cleaning on 11th July 2010 Members and volunteers of Loka Dharma Seva Foundation Trust performed the Uzhavarappani, cleaned the Arulmigu Nagathamman Temple, located at P. T. Rajan Salai / Kamaraj Salai junction, KK. Nagar, Chennai, on Sunday 11th July 2010 between 11 AM - 1 PM. This is the 56th event of temple cleaning project performed on the second Sundays every month.

34 volunteers participated in the event, of which 20 were Ladies, and 14 were Gents. Navagraha sannadhi, sannadhi in front of Amman were cleaned with curd and Amla powder. Temple vessels, lamps were cleaned with Tamarind, detergents finally polished with Pitambari. The clothes donated by Devotees were removed from Dust and Dirt and folded kept in a safe place. The Grill frames, main door were cleaned free from Dust. Ceiling of temple and the side walls were cleaned free from dust. A storage shelf was cleaned, washed with water. Finally the tiled floor was cleaned with detergent and water. The entrance of temple was cleaned well with a broom and rangoli kolam was done.

Since it is a Nagathamman temple, milk was poured under the big tree at the snake pit. Lunch was arranged for all 34 members by Shri. Ezhumalai, Pujari of the temple. The help and facilities rendered by Shri. Ezhumalai [Mob: 9444516615] is being acknowledged by LDSFT. At end, this small temple, but with large visiting devotees of that area was cleaned thoroughly, and was appreciated by all as the best in our 56 temple cleaning events so far. LDSFT thank all members who participated in the event, mainly the 11 new members /volunteers who joined in the event.

LDSFT is organising uzhavara pani [Temple cleaning] on second Sundays of every month. LDSFT is engaged on several other activities of temples like 108 thiruvilakku pujas, anmiga tours, Integrated community development, Organisational networking, interacting like minded organizations, establishing devotees forums, conducting lectures on Hindu dharma, general education, training volunteers on spiritual healings at hospitals and forming youth forums. Volunteers and sponsors are needed.
