Uzhavaar Pani - Temple Cleaning project - 11 July 2010

Loka Dharma Seva Foundation Trust,
Kilpakkam, Chennai-6000010
is organizing the monthly Uzhavara Pani event,
(Their 56th Temple Cleaning Project),
at
Arulmigu Nagaththamman Temple
at Ashok Nagar, Chennai,
On Sunday, 11th July, 2010 - 11 AM to 3 PM,

Van is arranged from Valasarawakkam to Ashok Nagar and Back.
Lunch, Tea snacks has been arranged

Temple Cleaning Projects for 2010 - Amman Temples

After successful cleaning of Mundaga Kanni Amman Koil, Mylapore
in February 2010, LDSFT decided to go on second Sundays
of each month to Amman Temples in Chennai.

The following Temples are identified.
1. Thiruverkadu: Karumari Amman Temple.
2. Mangadu: Kamakshi Amman Temple.
3. Sowcarpet: Kaligambal Amman Temple.
4. Thiruvottiyur: Vadivudai Amman Temple.
5. Besant Nagar: Ashta Lakshmi Temple.
6. Ashok Nagar: Nagathamman Temple.
7. T. Nagar: Muppathamman Temple.
8. Teynampet: Alaya Amman Temple.
9. Mylapore: Kola Vizhi Amman Temple.
10. Nanganallur: Rajarajeswari Temple.
The timings will be the same as 10 AM to 4 PM, unless intimated in advance.

Exact dates and time will be intimated in due course well in advance.

Transportation will be arranged when needed and will be informed in advance.
A large group of volunteers will be performing this work.
All residents in the neighbourhood and Devotees of the Temple

are cordially invited to join us in this noble cause.

There are thousands of Temples all over Tamil Nadu and other South Indian States; each is famous in history, rituals, and Spiritual Powers which many of our devotees are eager to visit. We, as Hindus, desire to visit many of these Temples. It is not possible for every one to visit 1000s of temples at any time.

LDSFT plans to show an Audio-visual presentation through DVDs and Musical discourses details as Sthalapuranangal of several famous Siva, Vishnu and Sakthi temples, as Sri Vaishnava Divyashetrangal, 274 Shivalayangals, and 108 Amman Alayangals, presenting DVDs, pictures and details of these temples followed by lectures on these Temples.

Recently LDSFT has successfully organised recently such events twice at
Sri Adhikesava Perumal Temple in Mylapore which was well received and
we have a need and request from several Temples for similar events.
We require speakers interested in doing the Sthalapuranams in any form.
We also need volunteers to teach and explain Poojas, festivals and
Sanskara rituals at home as also recitations Mantras and slokas for devotes. LDSFT also request Donors, Sponsors and Volunteers for these events. Donors and Sponsors details will be given in all our publicity.
