Explanation of Ideas and Plans for Organization- - 08

Organizational Structure : Steering Committee
The Steering Committee at the central body of Foundation Headquarters will organize and form the Apex Governing Council of Regents. They will also form the following 11 sub-committees:

[1.] An Advisory General Council - to coordinate all activities at the HQ, and also include a Fundraising body - to plan and prepare massive fundraising programs;
[2.] A Public Relations & Communications Council - will communicate with the general public through news letters, radio & Television programs, and internet services.
[3.] A Legal affairs committee - to look at the legal matters of all activities including the renovated Temple management and educational programs;

[4.] An Internal Audits and General accounting committee - to supervise the collection and spending of funds; Since management of funds is the biggest problems for credibility of the organizations, the accounts managers will be different from expense approving and budgeting agencies and auditors, with checks and balances.
[5.] A Special Maintenance Trust Funds committee - to organize and manage a savings Trust funds and properties of all small Temples that join this group including their lands for the maintenance of the organizations;
[6.] Long-term Architectural Planning Committee - to prepare a master plan for the various head quarters and research centers. They will prepare a standard plan and design for the construction of Temples and various centers, and plan all future constructions;

[7.] A Hindu Temple Renovation Council - to identify and organize renovation and reconstruction of old Temples and arrange for religious services for the general public;
[8.] A Hindu Dharma Education Council - will organize regular Hindu classes on various subjects on a regular basis for the general public in all Temples and other locations.
[9.] A Priests, Preachers and Teachers Welfare management Council - to plan developing programs to support the trained pundits for the purpose of maintaining our Dharma and also look after their welfare;

[10.] A Health, Education and Social Welfare Council - will work for Secular Social works for the community for their health care, regular school education, community activities including for women, children, and orphanages;
[11.] A Research and Development Council - will arrange for university level of research studies and also organize periodic seminars and camps for students and researchers around the world.

Points to keep clear in our mind:

[ 1.] The working committee should consist of all strong followers of Hindu Dharma and are knowledgeable in the traditions. It should consist of all communities - with equal rights - committed to the cause and not for the self. We should the rules of inclusiveness rather than exclusive groups. Major community leaders of the various Hindu communities in all Southern States can be approached to join the force and work together.
[ 2.] Various village Temples should be developed with the local communities and should include all Jaathis, including Dwijas, non-Dwijas and Avarnas and any new seekers who are interested in learning and practicing the traditions of Hindu Dharma.

[ 3.] The responsibilities to appoint priests and teachers and committees should be according to the traditional rules of Hindu as approved by the policies of the Apex body.
[ 4.] If the policy of the Temples permit, we can plan employing priests from all Hindu communities and jaathis in appropriate temples, with local communities support and contributions and these should be encouraged and necessary training should be given for them through classes in Agamas along with regular religious classes for the general public.

[ 5.] Local financial support should be encouraged - possibly some membership dues from those who want to form the governing bodies - no free riders. Local fund collections through donations and festival collections in each such Temple will assure long-term support. It is often better to collect funds for services and festivals than as donations from general public.
[ 6.] Even though, it is easy to receive contributions from Government funds and from political groups and HRE, it is better to refuse unless it is given with a written agreement as "No Strings Attached" - as later government and politicians will come to take over once we are successful.

[ 7.] Other than fixed membership dues from governing board members of an equal amount like 2,000 or 5,000 or 10,000 Rupees etc, all other major donations should be only from individuals and must be made with no strings attached policy and no promise for positions or appointments in the Hierarchy, unless approved by Apex Council and Regents.
[ 8.] Let us call it a "Task Force for the Renaissance of Hindu Dharma" and establish it in all four Southern states, and later all over, though we may start in one or two districts in each state now.
