1.
Temple Cleaning and Maintenance:
Temple Cleaning Projects for all small
and medium Temples in and around Chennai: LDSFT will organise Cleaning
of Temples, clearing the debris with the help of the devotees and
volunteers and making the Temple visit a pleasant experience for the
devotees. The local devotees will be organized to form committees
for long term care of these temples.
A centralized Corpus Fund programme will be created and organised
for funding the Rejuvenation of several thousands of dilapidated Temples
and also for the community to be involved in it as a centre for learning
Hindu Dharma.
2.
Renovation of Temples that have structural damages:
There are several thousands of Hindu
Temples all over India in the villages and some in cities, which are
few hundred years old. Several small Temples in small communities
are left unattended, damaged, dilapidated, and poorly maintained.
They are in need of some simple renovation and construction to make
them functional for the use of the Hindu community for their regular
prayer services. These Temples will be renovated for the use of the
community. These Temples can be used as our base for development of
Hindu Dharma among the masses in each community for the propagation
of the Hindu traditions of among all members.
3.
Recitation of Religious slokas, verses and songs:
Reciting Lalitha Sahasranamam/ Vishnu Sahasranamam with Tamil Translations
will be organised with explanation of slokas, group singing and explanations;
They will also organise recitation of Thevaram and Thiruvachagam with
participation of devotees with Sloka classes in Temples .
4.
Sound and light shows of Sthala Puranams in Temples:
Saiva and Vaishnava Sthala Puranam will be shows through audio-visual
equipments with Video / DVD shows with explanations will be shown
for the devotees at major temples. At present, 108 Divya Desangal
at Perumal temples on Thiruvonam days and Siva Thala Puranams in Shiva
temples on Mada Sivarathri days are being organised.
5.
Annadhanam and Special Puja Related Activities for at major Temples:
This programme will be organized for the benefit of our out of town
Devotees, especially
our NRI/PIO community of Hindus around the world to commemorate important
events
by arranging special pujas and annadhanam services in major Temples
in South India.
6.
Integrated Community Development and Social Welfare:
This is organized for the indigent Hindu community, living below poverty
line. LDSFT will plan and organize an integrated project consisting
of Economic development for the Indigent community with vocational
training, along with educational program for school children with
tutorial classes, Spiritual development programmes, Social service
projects and health care camps, along with arrangements for clean
water supply, sanitary facilities and good health education. They
will be organizing Medical camps and Ayurveda Camps in several places
with free consultations and supply of free medicines to the indigent
community members.
7.
Priests and Preachers - Welfare and Training Projects:
They will organize a uniform standard for training priests and teachers
in each of these Temples. They will organize a special welfare projects
for Temple Priests, Pujaris and Temple staff and their families for
their needs. This will include training for priests in religious services,
public relations, Language studies, management and general education
and help their family members in various areas of interest and various
needs.
8.
Hindu Dharma studies and Spiritual Educational Programs:
They will plan for educational program to train the priests and the
general public at each Temple city. They will also organize evening
and week-end classes for the youth and adults in the community about
the basics of Hindu Dharma, Customs and Traditions. This is for the
Hindu community in India, around small temples, where a basic level
of a short term course will be conducted and will be followed by an
initiation ceremony as a Hindu and Rituals of Deeksha in various paths
of Hindu dharma practice. This will be followed by advanced studies
for those interested in higher levels of education. Every Temple,
big and small, will be made into a seat of learning Hindu Dharma in
addition to be center for rituals and place of worship practice.
9.
International Institute for Hindu Dharma Studies and Basic Research:
They will plan and prepare a common minimum program for prayers based
on Vedas, Agamas, Puranas and local Traditions for each of the constituent
Temples to follow. This will plan to develop an International Institute
of Hindu Dharma Studies to collect various Hindu religious books and
magazines and organise an International program for high level research
and to train new teachers and preachers for the community.
10.
Net-working Co-operations with Organisations of similar thinking and
objectives:
As part of an organisational networking plan, LDSFT will work in cooperation
with other social organisations in the area to achieve our similar
objectives. In this, LDSFT will help Neer Exnora in the renovation
of Temple Tanks. LDSFT will work in association with Temple Exnora
to maintain temples and make their surroundings look attractive and
clean the area without Garbage. LDSFT will plan landscaping the surroundings
of Temples with bushes and flowering plants to make them look green
and colourful.
