The Evolution of the Spirit from Instinct to Intuition
The Problems in Understanding the fourth dimension of Intuition

A Multidimensional Universe is not just in our imagination

One may get a question here as to how there can be more than three dimensions except in our imagination. For the benefit of those looking for a scientific study we can analyze this also. Albert Einstein, while explaining his Relativity and Quantum Theory, explains this well. Here that matter is composed of atoms which are in turn made of protons, neutrons and electrons. These are further made of tinier particles, quarks, which are explained as multidimensional entities called "branes" which manifest as tiny loops of strings. This takes us to the "Matrix Theory" which melds the other two theories. Here he states that, in the theory of relativity of conventional physics, matter has four dimensions including time. This "M Theory" suggests that there are as many as 11 dimensions certainly detectable only at subatomic scales.

The famous Carl Sagan explains about a fourth dimension in space, he called it a teserect. Just like a three dimensional Cube that has six sides, this has 18 sides and each side is perpendicular to the other. If one wants to view a three dimensional movie on a flat screen, one needs a pair of special glasses made for that purpose. Just as we cannot draw a cube on a flat paper, it is not possible to show a teserect, but just has to be imagined and seen with intuition. Most of us are not able to comprehend this but it is there, and certainly a particle physicist or a space scientist can easily explain these too-complicated theories.

In the spiritual path, I believe that, there are at least seven dimensions before the true form of the Supreme Divine is revealed to our True Vision. Here is the area where in addition to our analytical knowledge, we need the meditative, intuitive and spiritual knowledge. The Purushãrthãs or individual aspirations are the driving force while the rules of Dharma, Karma and creation are their guiding principles for us to get through the passage in this universe. Each soul has to pass through some effects of its own past Karma and also fulfill the karmas for which it has been created. This passage is determined by the level of elevation of the soul in its own evolution.

Some of its actions and its achievements are dependant on these supreme directions and also its individual selection of path where a choice is given as the part of the Lila or game of the creator. So, the rebirth of a soul is not only dependant on the past bad karma but also due to some good karma and certain Dharma the soul is expected to perform. Here, the Jivãtmas or the individual Souls do their activity through their inborn capacity, their Guna, instinctive knowledge, individual learning from its surroundings and some superior influence of the Divine.
