True form of the One Supreme in relation to Celestial Forces | |
| | | The
powers of the Supreme realized in our deep meditation and Devotion
One may easily get confused to see this big parade of "many
gods" and teachings of "One God". While most religions proclaim
the faith in this "One God" none so ever describe that fact in a clear
fashion. They often describe in their faith only one aspect of It in the form
of a demi-God with the mythology explaining anger, punishment and rewards as the
only means of keeping their group in a close knit of blind followers. This is
true of most of the Eastern and Western Religious practices. Often an angel and
a messenger bring the message and the salvation is offered only through this messenger.
If there is only One God who is the Creator and preserver, who is all merciful
to all the creations, where do all these fit in? Why do some people believe that
they suffer or get punished for their wrong doings?
| |
| | | Many
of them, often with imperfect knowledge, oversimplify the teachings. They do this
often to suit the aspirations and understandings of the followers. The Supreme
is always recognized in the three forms or the three aspects, the "transcendental"
or the formless aspect spread all over the Universe, the "Immanent cosmic
form" that is recognized and understood for our prayers and the individual
reality of the soul inside us or the "Self" which is difficult to comprehend.
May be, we can recognize them as the "Father", the Son and the Holy
Spirit" or as the Paramatma, Jivatma and Maya. In Its transcendental aspect,
It is the pure Self, unaffected by any action or experience, detached, unconcerned.
In Its dynamic cosmic aspect, It not only support but governs the whole cosmic
action and this very Self, which is the one inside all and above all, is present
in the individual self.

| | | The
Supreme is the Formless Paramãthma which exists as the matter in the entire
universe and the force and energy within each of them. They all move and function
according to the will of the Supreme. The Supreme is recognized only by our deep
meditation and prayers which our sages were able to achieve. The nearest aspect
we can relate to the powers of the Supreme, in modern scientific terms, is to
relate to the aspects of the matter and energy of the suns, stars and planets
of Universe and its rhythmic activities as the macrocosm and its replication in
the microcosm of the protons, electrons and neutron of Atomic and subatomic particles.
This entire space of matter moves with the mysterious powers with speed and rhythm
at all times. There are electromagnetic waves or particle movements at varying
vibrations. Thus the very first manifestation of the Supreme is in the nature
of "sound" - not the audible sound waves in air but as the electromagnetic
vibration that transcends the space in universe of which light wave is a part.
| |
| | | When
the heavenly bodies of stars and planets in space revolve around, it causes a
constant vibration of the electromagnetic forces. Here in, it is believed that
the vibration of the stars in space gives raise to the primordial sounds which
has been recognized by the meditative and intuitive powers of our sages as the
"Pranava Mamtra" or "Aum". This is the essential life force
of the Universe as a prime manifestation of the Supreme. Here, all the vibration
and resonance or our recitation of Veda mantras cause the oscillation of the electromagnetic
forces on the space around each one of us reciting them. This gives rise to unimaginable
powers to the persons performing and attending the rituals. Our sages, thus, prescribed
the recitation of the various Veda mantras loud to create a vibration of the forces.
The resonance of this sound creates the necessary force to create the vibration
of our individual souls very much like a magnetic energy will cause changes in
a steel rod to get magnetized. Thus Veda Mantras have power in the sound vibrations
of proper rhythmic pronunciation as much as they condition our mind by the language,
meaning and devotion.
